On behalf of Skyrise Apartments and Michigan Capital Management, please understand that we are reacting to and making all efforts to follow the prescribed directives at our building for addressing COVID-19 concerns. Below is a summary of the actions and measures we have taken against of the spread of the virus.
Signage was posted at all building entrance points on March 13th and this same information was distributed to every residence in the form of a written tenant memo. The content of both was best practices for reducing the spread of the virus as instructed by the CDC and HUD.
Residents are required to report to us if they test positive, so that we can act in accordance with the Health Department requirements. As of today, we have not had any reports of positive tests.
Initiated enhanced cleaning, staffing and protocol to focus on disinfecting the touch points and high traffic areas of the building.
Cleaning and disinfecting high priority, high traffic areas such as the laundry room and elevators.
We continue to take all service requests, but our Service Technicians will only respond to emergency matters, and continue to inspect the critical building systems.
We have closed our main lobby and removed seating to discourage the congregation of residents. We have posted notices to promote safe social distancing guidelines.
Common area amenities have been closed and postponed all resident activities. The exception is access to laundry room, mailboxes and elevators, where we have posted signs about the correct safety, distance and cleaning protocols.
Building staff office hours have been eliminated due to the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Order by the Governor of Michigan. However, our Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager continue to respond to voice mails and other urgent or required administrative necessities.
We will post additional updates as events warrant. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
